Interference Lines

Interference lines are small single lines that run contrary to and independently of, the karmic lines listed in part one. They represent the obstacles of divine intervention sent from Karma. They are blessings in disguise and warning signals to difficulties, anguish, and unproductive goals. When they cross one of the main karmic lines, the condition of the intersected line, after the interference line has crossed it, indicates a response reflective of our ability to take on life’s challenges. If the intersected line continues as before, then the obstacle will be surmounted, and the desired change will occur because of it. If the intersected line falters or changes after the interference, then the challenge was encountered with more difficulty.  All the karmic lines can change, fading from one form to another as we change ourselves and in practising the Ang Vidya, by viewing our physical body as a recorded expression of our universal form, we can manage our growth in enlightenment.

How an interference line travels and ends also reveals insights into the nature of the obstacles. Looking at your palm, the direction up is towards your fingers and down is toward your wrist from the middle of your hand.  With this division you can see how the interference line travels.

Apply a dividing line to distinguish your right and left hemispheres on each hand. The central dividing line of the body dominates in all other areas of the Ang Vidya, but with the karmic lines of interference the hands are further divided by a second line. Karmic interferences are direct from the source and a dividing line is applied to the hands because when the universal vibration feeds our physical and casual bodies, it feeds into both hands and splits into two. 

I have an interference line on the moon mound of my right hand. Although the primary dividing line dictates that the influence would apply to my exterior world, because of the hand division it applies to my interior world. This hand division applies only to the interference lines. In all other aspects of the Ang Vidya the primary division holds.

Knuckles

A distinguishing feature on the tops of the hands are our knuckles, and cues about our personal priorities are centred on them. The knuckles define specific influences when setting priorities and the knuckles on both hands need to be considered balanced. Unbalanced knuckle influences indicate an area of personal conflict regarding the associated influences of the discrepancy. Ideally, to have balanced priorities, knuckles should look even and in proportion to the volume of the whole hand.

A knuckle should not protrude when the hand is laid flat. A swollen or misshaped knuckle indicates the importance of the knuckle’s associated influence when setting priorities. If the first knuckle of your Saturn finger is dominant or stands out compared to the other knuckles, then this informs you that when setting your priorities your ambitions dominate the decision-making process. If you are right-handed and only the right hand shows a dominant Saturn knuckle, then priorities are set to serve your ambitions in the exterior world, but not in your interior world. There is now an imbalance between the knuckles and worldly ambitions conflict with your interior self.

The first set of knuckles, the ones that join the finger to the palm, are also evaluated by making a fist and observing the wave pattern in the skin joining the exposed knuckles. The state of the knuckle wave reflects on the individual’s ability to resolve conflicts. The deeper and wider the curves between the knuckles, the more able one is to respond to confrontation. It does not determine if you will emerge victorious in the conflict, nor does it demonstrate a propensity for violence. It indicates that you have a set of emotional skills that enable you to endure conflicts without damaging your interior self.

The second set of knuckles, where the first two bones of the finger meet, are measured by laying the hand flat. The lines and puckers of skin that form over the knuckle show an overall ability to maintain personal priorities. An abundance of marks and folds that take on a circular shape reveals the presence of strong willpower. Vertical lines on the knuckles indicate a principled nature and the general size and shape of the knuckle indicates its condition as a priority influence.

The third set of knuckles holds a relationship with the level of stress in our lives and each line of stress on the final finger joint corresponds to the influence of the mound the finger is rooted on. If you have multiple stress lines on a Saturn finger, then the associated influence for the cue is from the finger of Saturn and not the knuckle priorities.

The thumb is measured by pressing immediately on the flesh beneath the middle knuckle and gauging its resistance. Make sure it is the thumb flesh and not the palm you are pressing on. A soft and squishy response indicates sensual appetites are being indulged and a boney feel means a more ascetic approach to pleasure is underway.
