Mukha Jyotish inputs the emotional imprints on our physical body. Hast Joytish inputs the karmic imprints of our soul body. Paad Joytish shows us the output of our emotions. It completes the rythmic flow that vibrates through us and helps us to understand in what way we use our emotions to propel us through life.

Man will often take solace in thinking he is superior to the rest of God’s creatures and our brain is used as proof. Whales and elephants have bigger brains, and a mouse has the largest brain to body mass ratio. If you really want to know what separates you from the rest of creation, look down at your feet. Our feet and not our brains are the foundation upon which we literally stand. Ask people what makes mankind so special, and they will regularly claim that it is our body of feelings; our emotional ability to be “human” that is the biggest difference. Reflexology uses the foot as a microcosm of the physical body. Paad Jyotish applies the same idea to map out the foundation of our emotional body.

The vibrational energy of the universe feeding our physical and casual bodies is a transient thing. It continually pulses through the universe. Universal energy is impersonal and constantly vibrating through everything. When these vibrations fuel our casual body, it results in us feeling an emotion. Because of its transient nature you either make use of the energy – acting consciously on the emotion and materializing the thought by connecting it to a physical discharge – or unconsciously in reactive, instinctual actions. How we chose to treat our emotions dictates our levels of emotional control and this self-control is not the end but the beginning of illumination. Treatment of your emotions begins the process of acclimatizing yourself to increasing levels of emotional intensity. Treatment simply means to stop your feelings as they appear and focus on them until they stop reverberating. Instead of dissipating the feeling, treatment strips away the shroud of circumstance and concentrates the emotion into a sharp focus. Sharpen the focus of an emotion enough, and it illuminates.

In thinking about an emotion, you put a blockage in its flow, and it begins to pool up. The pooling makes the emotion intensify and can be hard to sit through. Still, it must be done and done in full measure, if you intend to illuminate. Although it intensifies in the process, in thinking about an emotion you do not become it. It is when you feel it that you become it and that is why it is important to stop each emotion at its beginning so you can examine it carefully. Awareness starts in earnest by naming the emotional energy fields at their point of emergence.

A tenant of New Thought focuses on using positive thinking as a means of manifestation in the physical world, but this is not so. It is action that stimulates reality in the third dimension and unblocking the vibrational flow of our emotions is not an absence of negative thoughts but a balancing between the light body of feeling and the physical body of action.  The vibrational knowledge of Paad Jyotish impersonalizes our emotional reactions and opens us to a state of vulnerability that reveals our critical thinking skills. In this piercing relief, half-truths merge with untested beliefs so that the middle way of balance is obscured. The vibration is invisible and because it is with faith that we believe it; it becomes easy to beguile ourselves with metaphors or beat ourselves up because we have doubts. The final profile of the Ang Vidya encourages you to crystalize your emotions so you can determine the imbalance and consciously interact with your feelings to harness the flow and channel it constructively into action.

Usage and Group Indicators

We are not always inclined to contemplate our feelings before we act so a good portion of the emotional energy we use, passes straight through us untreated in a dispersal route that ends at the toes.  Each toe is a discharge point for untreated emotional energy. Knowing what toe shape matches with what specific dispersal method are a set of cues called the usage indicators. The indicators help define the thoughtlessness of our actions when we leave our emotions untreated to ricochet onto the karmic path without thinking first. The usage indictors align these dispersal routes with a method of use and combine with another set of cues called the group indicators. The group cues focus on the toe’s appearance as a whole and are the motivational factors stemming from our untreated emotional desires. For example, a rounded bulb indicates intellect is being applied to the vibrational energy as it is used. If the rounded bulb is on the Mars toe of my left foot, then its grouping indicates that intellect is being applied by me as I use my influence and before I choose to participate in activities. It could be said that I tend to think a lot before I act and that my desire for influence prevents me from being more spontaneous in my activities.
