The individual triads sourced in the profiles of the Mukha, Hast and Paad become components of a greater system of interpretation that combines the Ang Vidya and Astrology. This divine union of two great houses of wisdom, results in the completion of a master profile and this profile is the catalyst to creating a Lotus Marking. The master profile uses the triads as emotional keys to unlock the connection and demonstrate the latent power of your awareness.

Astrology has been refined and practiced by many cultures and individuals. Independent systems developed in Mesopotamia, India and China. The ancient Egyptians painted the zodiac on their tombs and Ptolemy’s idea of an earth centred universe shares the wonder that is looking up at the black dome of the night sky. Advances in astronomy have proven Ptolemy wrong and we know that there is no finite, fixed celestial sphere surrounding a still, flat earth. It is all moving in a speeding, spiral symphony and the empty space of the universe is so vast it is beyond comprehension. It has called to humanity since we first raised our eyes to the sky. The universe is a whole and the many parts influence and affect each other. Astrology confirms that we are a part of this symphony, and we read our horoscopes in the news feed because like Carl Jung, we have found that these “strange infinitudes… are rich booty for our knowledge of the human psyche.”

The value of a horoscope lies in weaving a net of profiles through which you sift yourself to refine your self-awareness. Which method you use is up to you as there are a variety of star wheels to choose from but if you follow a simple rule for constructing your astrological profile, then building your master profile is much easier. The method I outline is provided to give you a baseline from which your horoscope can be drafted and then coupled with the profile from the Ang Vidya.

Many people understand astrological influences to be a definition of themselves and take them as fact, but Astrology is not Astronomy. Both study the stars but Astrology operates from the intuitive unseen and requires a jump in logic that is really a leap of faith. It takes a relaxed, casual view of the heavens to appreciate the art, and your horoscope should be approached in that manner.

A person is as a rock in the river and the water is the movement of the universe. The water washes over the rock making it wet and shaping it over time, maybe even moving it on occasion, but it is not the rock accommodating the water. The water must move around the rock.

Try to see astrological influences as tools to help you build your character and not as a definition of it. It is always the free will of the individual that makes the final choice and to abandon your free will to the whim of the stars is as foolish as surrendering it to the whim of another.

A simple rule to follow when building your horoscope is to use three parameters. The three parameters are situational, personality and behavioural, and they are related to the scope of your individuality as defined by astrology. They are matched to the star wheels in the chart below.  Be sure to keep these three parameters at the base of your horoscope and ensure that each parameter is included in your profile, and you can be reasonably sure you have a balanced profile no matter which method you use.  The three limbs of the Ang Vidya – the head, feet and hands – coordinate with the three parameters, with the head being situational, the hands being personality and the feet being behavioural. These links unify the two profiles, the Ang Vidya and Astrological, into a single method of interpretation.

Astrologers triangulate the lunar and solar wheels to create a natal chart. I am not an astrologer any more than I am a therapist.  I triangulate using a book of birthdays and the inner/outer star wheels of the Babylonian zodiac. All the star wheels are interchangeable, just remember to keep the triad of foundational parameters.

A natal chart is a personal profile based on the specific timing of your birth. A birthday book is a star wheel composed of generalized profiles based on the day of your birth. Both are situational and the self-understanding gained from them applies to the insights received from a Mukha analysis. The situational reveals your place in terms of fated circumstances and the physical world.

The inner zodiac is a perception of personality and works with the insights of the hast profile. This star wheel has broken each of the twelve signs into three sub periods and a cusp. A set of personality parameters that spins roughly in a one-year cycle of weekly increments. The primary law at work is fate. Fate is an astral law like the law of karma. The fruit it bears predispositions your personality, so you attract to yourself the circumstances needed for your soul to grow.

Behavioral patterns belong to the outer zodiac. Each of the forty-eight positions in this star wheel has been assigned its own constellation. The outer zodiac spins in a twenty-one-year cycle with increments of 18 weeks, with a 4 week cusp. The primary law at work in this wheel is destiny. Destiny is a law of the casual realm that influences your nature. Fate covers you with traits that are somewhat easier to see because they are part of your personality. Destiny is reflected in your long-term behavioural patterns and can be harder to trace than those of the inner zodiac. Destiny shows up in patterns over time and is often the result of an accumulative effect.

Astrological profiles are worthy of contemplation on their own and once you have become familiar with your horoscope, you reduce each profile parameter into triads. The traits making up the triads can be of your choice, and like the Ang Vidya triads, you may have more than one triad of traits, but they must be derived from a contemplation of the astrological and Ang Vidya profiles. The positive aspects represent the influences by which a person born under the stated signs may transcend their difficulties. Likewise, the negative aspects will reveal the obstacles of character that get in the way when we try.

Manipulation of these triads provides the influential combinations that aid in building a constructive path of change for any actions instigated by your new awareness. Although you may have more than one triad in each profile, when you define your conclusion only one triad from each is used at a time, and no more than two triads are to be connected at the same time, to reach a conclusion. The triads are the scaffolding from which you suspend your conclusions, and these boundaries keep the imagination from escalating possibilities to an unmanageable level.

Mukha+empatheticnon-judgmentalopen minded
 _intolerantsecretive impatient

The Mukha cues around my eye highlighted a suit of traits for counselling and areas in need of mediation. The Mukha profile is balanced by the influences of the situational, so these traits of character are reinforced with determination and practicality that ground my visions. My killjoy disposition is likely the result of being too hyper focused on personal ambition which makes me dismissive of others.  If I am more vigilant about being too focused, I can moderate my behaviour to be less dismissive. My traits of empathy and open mindedness need to be practiced more to do this. I become dismissive when I lose patience, and a lack of tolerance causes me to retreat into secrecy to disengage from unwanted circumstances. If I share more of myself to begin with, I may be able to avoid the circumstances that lead to these disengagements.

personality+truthfuldutifulpassionate

hast+passionateselflesstruthful

The Hast cues on my hand showed a blockage of potential rooted in fear, frustration or anger that was affecting initiative, strength, or sensuality. The Hast profile is balanced with your personality profile and learning to deal with frustration is highlighted. A blockage that can be unplugged if I focus on improving my ability to manage my frustration. Frustration is a theme through the entire chain of insights. The Hast and personality profiles correlate to the astral mind and our minds are composed of thought and thinking. The way I think is causing emotional frustration. To reduce my frustration, I need to change the way I think, and I can rely upon my passion and the truth to sustain me in that effort. I must also confront the difficulties of hubris to make that change happen.

behavioural+overcomingintegrityobservant
 –self-destructiveoverbearingindifferent
paad+divine gracebalanced energiesleadership skills
 –explosive temperrigid structuresself-destructive

In the examples given, the Paad cues indicated an association with verbal explosions in unstructured emotional settings. The Paad profile is balanced with the behavioral profile. Our feet discharge our emotions into the physical and in my world, there is a discharge of overbearing indifference that leads to self-destructive settings. By being observant, I can overcome this self-destructive tendency and avoid the circumstances that trigger it. Integrity and balanced energies and utilizing leadership skills tames this overbearing urge to explode in frustration.

The list of conclusions is worked through in this manner, using an interplay of the various triads, till a resolution of purpose evolves for action. In the process of applying your intellect to the patterns in the profiles, you grow an awareness to the presence of your casual body and gain a clearer impression of what you need to do to illuminate.

It is dangerous to idealize your conclusions as divine just because they are sourced in the divine knowledge of the ancients. The conclusions are drawn at the caprice of the interpreter and a shallow interpretation of your character study diminishes the reflective interaction between the conscious and subconscious. Physical reality is only the surface, and your emotional body sits like an iceberg in it. There is an unseen depth to explore in each cue as it reverberates and how the reverberations interact with each other complicate the patterns.
